What to write about

The messages that help most

We read everything, but these four get answered fastest.

  • A number looks wrong

The most useful message we get. Tell us the ingredient, what you measured, and how — we check it against our references and update the table if you are right.

  • An ingredient is missing

We add ingredients based on what people ask for and what shows up in search data. If you convert something regularly and it is not in the dropdown, say so.

  • Something is broken

A calculator that will not update, a layout that breaks on your phone, a link that goes nowhere. Include your browser and device if you can.

  • Translation help

We are rolling out 20 languages and ingredient names do not translate mechanically. Native speakers who cook are exactly who we need to hear from.

What we don't do

Saving us both some time

We do not sell advertising, accept sponsored ingredient placements, or publish guest posts. We do not have an affiliate programme and we do not link out in exchange for anything. The site makes its money nowhere at all right now, which is the honest answer to why there is no signup form.

We also cannot give personalised dietary or medical advice. If you are converting salt or sugar quantities for health reasons, the numbers here are accurate, but what to do with them is a conversation for a doctor or dietitian.
